高田純次と同様に最初はテンションが高く暴れているが、出番前の楽屋からずっとハイテンションなために最後には疲れてテンションが低く人の話を聞かないことがある。なお、関根麻里はタイプの似ているこの二人を「理想の男性」に挙げている。このことについて父親である関根勤は「おれの育て方は間違っていなかった」と述懐している。
